ELIZABETH ALICE MURRAY, MAC: Elizabeth is a writer and performer in New York City and a graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts. Favorite roles include: Amelia in Othello and Fran/April in The Heidi Chronicles. Elizabeth's one woman show Woman in the Dark (which recounts her misadventures while trapped in an elevator during the 2003 Blackout) has been performed at the United Solo, Planet Connections and One Woman Standing Festivals. She is currently working on her next memoir and show Con-Cussed which chronicles her recovery from head injury. She is extremely grateful to be part of this talented team and thanks John for this opportunity, her many friends and her remarkable husband for their support.

 

JOHN ISGRO, JAB: John is thrilled to be making a return to the stage after a 2+ year hiatus and is especially excited to have the opportunity to play the role of Jab once again. Most recently John has taken time away from acting to focus on his business and family. What business and family you ask? John and his wife Roberta own Acting Out, a highly respected acting school for kids and teens located in Brooklyn. Also, just over two years ago John and Roberta were blessed with the birth of their twin daughters Ellory and Penelope, the loves of their lives! John would also like to express his gratitude to John and Elizabeth Doble for their dedication to this play and to his work in it.

 

ANGEL DILLEMUTH, SUSPECT: Angel Dillemuth is a Bronx native who majored in Theater at Lehman College, and received his MFA at The Actor's Studio Drama School. He is a proud member of Lehman Stages. Angel has been fortunate to have appeared Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway. In addition to theater he has appeared on numerous Television shows including: The BlacklistThe FollowingPerson of Interest and more. JOY DONZE, COURTNEY: Joy Donze is PUMPED to be a part of FringeNYC and is even more ecstatic to be a part of TO PROTECT THE POETS! Joy is a Brooklyn based actor-singer-solo performer and recent graduate from the MFA Program at the New School for Drama. ARIEL KIM, MINGZHU: Ariel felt like she never belonged attending business school. That all changed when she first discovered acting by chance through an Art of Acting class. It felt like home, and she knew this was the thing she wanted to do for the rest of her life. DESHAWN WYATTE, JAMAL: Deshawn is an ambitious actor with dreams of making a difference through his art. He earned his MFA in Acting from California Institute of the Arts and his BA in Theatre from The City College of New York. ALBERTO BONILLA, DIRECTOR Alberto Bonilla was part of the creative team at 78th Street Theatre Lab that developed Boy Steals Train, which won a Fringe First and Best Ensemble award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He wrote and directed Walking To America. Other written works include: Nonnie, Big Black Mexican Woman, #69, El Conejo, PS 357, Hunting with Ewoks and Maria. As a director, Alberto has directed Look Back in Anger, Three Points Over the Vig, Leaving Lilly, Raft of the Medusa and won the Queens TimesLedger “Kudos” award for Richard III. Alberto has appeared on television and in film. He is a member of AEA, SAG/AFTRA, HOLA and NALIP. He received a BA in Theatre at Arizona State University and studied at The British American Dramatic Academy. Alberto received his MFA in Acting at Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts.

 

MICHAEL PALMER, PRODUCER: An award-winning writer who just completed a new screenplay, Cleo Parker, Michael was the Associate Producer of a number of John Doble’s plays, including To Protect the Poets, Coffee House, Greenwich Village, A Serious Person, and Reunion Run. Prior to taking up screenwriting and producing, he worked for years in the garment industry as a fashion designer and clothing manufacturer.

 

CHRISTOPHER NOURSE, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: Christopher is extremely grateful to be a part of this production. Favorite directing credits include: The Sin EaterI (Studio Theatre); Best Half Foot Forward (Itty BItty Theatre). Favorite acting credits include: Bully Dance (Boston Playwrights Theatre); Into the Light (Boston Center for the Arts). Christopher has his bachelor's degree in Theatre from Northeastern University and will start an MFA in Theatre at Sarah Lawrence College this fall.
